     1.describe an unpleasant shopping experience

Well, what impressed me most was the experience on Taobao, which is the largest online shopping platform in China. Last week, I bought a handbag on Tmall, however, when I received it, it was really disappointing. The creamy white color showed on the website turned out to be a pale yellow one, and it was terrible-looking that no one with any sense of fashion would ever leave the house with it. What is worse, as soon as I opened the parcel, I almost fainted by the nasty smell it gave out. And the pungent odour would not easily be wiped off after I’d washed it and dried it over and over again.

I felt awful at the thought of being taken in, and I finally realize the old saying: seeing is believing, for I was overwhelmingly misled by the pictures posted on the website. In spite of its drawbacks, I still kept the handbay in that I was reluctant to go through the complicated process of returning it! Plus the seller didn’t admit his poor-quality goods. The reason why I bought the bay online was that I had no time to go to the shopping mall, but now I should be prudent about shopping, especially online shopping and online shopping contains too many unreliable factors. Until today, I do not discard this handbay, only to serve as a reminder of just how irresponsible some online retailers could be.

     2.describe a person who you would like to talk with

Well, the person I would like to talk with will definitely be Jenny who withstands the wear and tear of time.

 I knew her because she lived next door to me when I lived in my hometown, Yueyang. In most people’s eyes, she was a good student who could sail through all kinds of examinations. But for me, he was not merely a diligent neighbor, but a wonderful playmate and thoughtful big sister, though she was just two years older than me. For one thing, she always did a good job in her study, so whenever I had some difficult questions, I often ask her more than my own teachers and she could, almost without exception, give me a satisfied answer and tell me solution methods so that I can resolve other similar puzzles by myself. For another, it was her who taught me some life philosophy and overcome one of the most repulsive enemies for girls: cockroach. We used to kill two cockroaches bravely by slippers and now thanks to her, I won’t be afraid of this small creature any more. Also, she often requested me to have a dream and set up a goal, not just finishing school. I always regarded her as my own sibling, whenever I met any setbacks, I would first seek console from her and she would often understand me.

 Now both of us worked in two different cities and we haven’t seen each other for a long time, but the memories about me and Jenny playing together are as vivid as they first occurred. I hope one day I could go back to my hometown and talk to her like we did when we were children.

     3.describe an experience that you were late

Well, speaking of a late occasion, I would like to talk about one that happened eight years ago.

After the college entrance examination, my best friend Jane and I both got offers from different universities. On the day she left hometown, I got up pretty early to go to the airport to see her off. But the traffic that morning was awful because of the rush hour. When I got the airport, I was already about one hour late. At that time, I felt very guilty and diasppointed; it was a kind of unspeakable feeling. When I was about to leave the airport, suddenly I saw a figure which was extremely familiar. It was her, my best friend Jane, standing right in front of me with her big smile on her face. I was surprised that she was supposed to be on the plane, but she told me that she had got her plane ticket endorsed to the next flight and said a sentence that I will never forget in my whole life, “Planes take off every other hour, but it could be a year or even longer before I could see you again, and you are my best friend, so I am here, waiting for you! ” I, truly, moved at that moment.

 For some, late experiences might make people miss too many beautiful things; for others, late experiences might make experience the most beautiful thing. For me, this is an unforgettable late experience.

     4.a library

      Well, when it comes to a library, I would like to talk about the National Library of China.

 National Library of China is a comprehensive library situated in the west of Beijing, the capital of China. The main structure is two symmetrical pagoda-like buildings. The main tone of the whole building is the blue-glazed roofs and light grey bodies, which means using water and alerting fire. Especially the granite steps and white marble rails add a lot of Chinese flavor to the building. Seen far away, it looks really majestic!

This library ranks the fifth among the world libraries and has diversified collection, including academy, history, geology, culture and custom. The library opens to the public almost 365 days a year and its online services are available 24 hours a day. And our library has the integrated online searching system so that individuals can get all the information about any book they want, such as whether the book they need has inventory and what condition they need to loan some books. Thus, it is extraordinary convenient!

The National Library of China is definitely a good example to show how a library preserve, cherish and exhibit the riches of human civilization.

     5.describe a website

Well, I’d like to talk about a well-known website that is www.taobao.com. I think most people are quite familiar with it, especially females.

Established in May 2003, Taobao has become China’s leading E-commerce marketplace and has owned zillions of consumers. It is owned by Alibaba and its layout is very neat and direct. Individuals can search whatever they want just by typing the key words in the search engine. And immediately, you can see millions of relevant products jumping out in the screen. Then buyers can decide to buy whose products by taking the sellers’ credit and price into accout. Also, Taobao offers a platform for sellers and buyers to chat some exact information online, which is called “Taobao Wang Wang”. It is very considerate.

Another attractive trait is that the products in Taobao are much cheaper than those in shopping malls, and it is free to be a member of Taobao no matter you are a seller or a buyer, thus a large number of people register in Taobao and hopefully to buy something with excellent quality and reasonable price or earn money without offering rent.

Taobao has become more and more renowned, but no one could predict how many imapcts it have on recent traditional retaill sales. But it indeed changes dramatically and its future will undoubtedly be more and more promising!
