　　咱能不能发现“程度”这个细节对于我们排出极具干扰性的选项，同时还能明确选出（而不是通过排除法）极具隐藏性的正确选项？

　　首先，我们当然会发现选项B、选项D以及选项E是不可能是正确答案的。那么，我们的纠结就发生在选项A与选项C之间。选项A的意思很明显，并且可以100%适配句子中的“has lately increased alarmingly”，因为“rapidly”对应“alarmingly”，“expanding”对应“increased”。但是，我们又发现题目中提及的地点是“within the forest habitat”，这与“has lately increased alarmingly”所描述的地点“open countryside”不符。于是我们对选项A就犹豫了。可是当我们看到“Bracken fern has been spreading from its woodland strongholds for centuries”中的“spreading”时，又对选项A保持着极高的兴趣。

　　此时，重点来了：虽然可以与选项A中的“expanding”确实可以与“Bracken fern has been spreading from its woodland strongholds for centuries”中的“spreading” 适配，但是，选项A中的“rapidly”这个表达程度的副词并没有在句中出现。所以，选项A万般好，却并不是正确答案。

　　那么，我们再仔细读一下：“Bracken fern has been spreading from its woodland strongholds for centuries”，有没有发现其中的“strongholds”一词是含有程度含义的（这个词的意思是“势力强大的地方”）。于是，我们可以发现这个词中的程度含义是与选项C中的程度“well”对应的，甚至说来，选项C的意思就是“stronghold”词义的一部分。至此，我们就可以确定这道题的答案为选项C了。（当然，更何况，题目中的“forest”可不就是句中的“woodland”。这肯定也是我们的判断依据之一）。

　　好了，这一期，我们讲了一个简单又微小的现象。但是，这个现象确实在GRE阅读中屡见不鲜的设计思路。所以，请大家不要掉以轻心，毕竟，在GRE阅读中，“程度”这个细节确实是需要我们特别注意的。
