本期节目话题背景

　　最近，有同学问了这样一道题“Describe a quiet place you like to go”。我是一个比较喜欢安静的人，常常去一些比较静谧的地方看书或者教学生。幸运的是，我的一位朋友带我探访了一家非常合我心意的咖啡厅，这家咖啡厅到底是什么样的？咱们一起来聊一聊吧！
　　在描述这道题时，你需要告诉考官这个地方在哪，你是如何知道这里的，你多久去一次，以及你在这里会做些什么？对于我来说，这家咖啡厅是一个教英语的好地方，因为它不像其他咖啡厅那么嘈杂。

　　I would like to talk about this coffee shop that I often visit. The coffee shop is actually quite big and it has 3 floors but I didn’t know about it until a friend told me about it. The reason I didn’t know about it is because the coffee shop isn’t in a mall or somewhere easy to see. It is located inside a community which has a small shopping area. I guess that is the reason this place is often quiet because it isn’t very easy to find.
　　I go there twice a week because it is perfect for teaching English as the place isn’t like Starbucks which is quite noisy. Also, some of my students sometimes feel embarrassed speaking English if there are too many people around. Sometimes I go there to have lunch because their food is good but a little pricey.
　　As a matter of fact, I discovered the place almost four years ago and they have been getting busier. The place was shut down during the pandemic and I thought it would close. But they opened back up after the restriction was lifted and business returned to normal. So this place has become to my go-to place to teach students or if I want to meet up with friends. We can just get a cup of coffee and chat for hours without being bothered. I quite enjoy going there and I hope they can stay open for a long time.
