　　Shown in the bar chart is the percentage of British people making financial donations in two years – 1990 and 2010. And the people are divided into sub-groups by their age / are grouped by their age. Apparently, the general patten is that older people, with obvious greater percentages, were more likely to make donations than younger people.

　　In the year of 1990, roughly 42% of the British aged between 36 and 50 gave money to charity, and this percentage was higher than that in the other groups. In stark contrast, donors in the youngest group accounted for less than one-fifth. In the other three groups, the percentage varied slightly between 31% and 35%.

　　In the year of 2010, the highest percentage, which was almost 40%, was in the group of 51-65, and this number is in marked contrast tothe small number of 7%, which was again in the youngest group.
