　　一、代词

　　（一）单复数一致
　　1.含义：
　　代词的单复数与所指代对象的单复数一致。
　　2.用法：
　　（1）代词一般指代主语或宾语，根据句意判断。
　　例如：
　　Because of his tireless effort, Tom got a GPA of 4.0 this semester.
　　Mary is an easy-going girl and she always play with her friends.

　　（二）指代清晰
　　1. 含义：
　　代词一定要清晰的指代它所指代的对象。
　　2. 用法：
　　（1）在段首，代词名词选名词。
　　例如：
　　Neither Ms. Perez nor Ms. Tanaka believes that watching as much television as Ms. Perez’s son Sam does will lead to anything productive.

　　（三）形容词性物质代词
　　1.含义：
　　具有形容词属性的代词，相当于形容词的用法，单数用its, 复数用their。
　　2.用法：
　　（1）its, their一般指代就近名词、主语或宾语，根据句意判断。
　　例句：
　　An increase fund for cometary mission would give scientists an opportunity to learn from their failures.
