小作文: 柱形图 + 表格图：life expectancy，1980、1983到2002年寿命增长

点评：柱形图为本月第三次考察热点，表格图为遗落考点，考察考生写作柱形图和表格图的两种能力，充分准备的童鞋，是利好的出现角度。

 

2014年6月28日A类雅思大作文

Task 2：With the increase of demand of energy sources of oil and gas, should people look for sources of oil and gas in remote and untouched places? Do the advantages outweigh the disadvantages of damaging such areas?石油天然气的需求增加，人们在偏远的没有被开发的地方要寻找石油天然气的资源，是否利大于弊?

 

考题分析：

开发偏远地区石油天然气的好处：
　　：有效地缓解能源危机( ease energy crisis) 和减轻环境污染（reduce environmental pollution ） ，减少大城市化石燃料(fossil fuels)的使用；
　　第二：偏远地区可能存在丰富的没有被开采(untapped/unexploited )的资源，利用这些资源，可以为人类作出巨大的贡献；
　　第三：开发新能源（如nuclear power等）会有一定的困难和问题，利用自然资源是更切实际的方式。

　　开发偏远地区石油天然气的弊端：
　　：偏远地区的能源开采如果没有合理规划，严格执行容易造成时间和人力成本的浪费（time-consumingand energy-consuming）；
　　第二：偏远地区的能源储备也是有限的，过度开采，可以使得该区域的能源失去竞争力（becomes less competitive.）。但是，这些弊端可以通过提高开采技术来克服。

 1. Some people believe that teenagers should concentrate on all school subjects. But, others believe that teenagers should focus on the subject that they are best at or that they find the most interest. Discuss both these views and give your own opinion.

 

2. Some people think that computers and the Internet are more important for a child''s education than going to school. But others believe that schools and teachers are essential for children to learn effectively. Discuss both views and give your own opinion.

 

3. Some people believe the aim of university education function is to prepare the students for employment, but others believe university education have many other functions. Discuss both viewpoints and give your own opinion.

 

4. More and more people work at home and study at home with the development of computer technology. Do you think it is positive or negative development?

 

5. Rich countries often give financial aid to poor countries, but it does not solve the poverty, so some people think that rich countries should give other types of help to the poor countries rather than the financial aid. To what extent do you agree or disagree?

 

6. Some people believe that air travel should be restricted because it causes serious pollution and uses up the world fuel resources. To what extent do you agree or disagree?

 

7. Some people say that professional workers such as doctors, nurses and teachers make greater contribution. So they should be paid more than those sport and entertainment persons. To what extent do you agree or disagree?

 

8. In many countries increasing proportion of young people are leaving but unable to find jobs. What problems do you think youth unemployment will bring for individual and the society? What measures should be taken to deduce level of unemployment among youngsters?

 

9. In many countries, the proportion of older people is steadily increasing. Does this trend have more positive or negative effects on the society?

 

10.  Now, people can use Internet to see historic objects freely. People think we don’t need museum in the future. To what extend do u agree or disagree.

 

11. 　People can perform everyday tasks, such as shopping and banking as well as business transactions, without meeting other people face-to-face. What are the effects of this on individual and society as a whole?

 

12. Some people think that using animals for experimentation purpose is cruel, but other people think that is necessary for the development of science. Discuss both views and give your opinion.

 

13.  Many old building are protected by the law because they are part of a nation''s history. However, some people think they should be knocked down to make way for new ones because people need houses and offices. How important is it to maintain old buildings?

 

14. Some people think that personal happiness is directly related to economic success .Others argue that happiness depends on other factors. Discuss both sides and give your opinion?

 

15. Some people say that the government should pay for the health care and education of its citizens, but other people say that it is not the government’s responsibility. Discuss the two opinions and give your views.

 

16. . It is generally accepted that families are not as close as they used to be. Give some reasons why this change has happened and suggest how families could be brought closer together. Include any relevant examples from your experience.
