Some college and university professors prohibit (do not allow) the use of devices that can connect to the Internet, such as laptop computers (portable computers), tablets, or smartphones, while class is going on. Do you agree or disagree with this policy?
To start with, electronic devices could ameliorate difficulties students may have in understanding class content. To elaborate, studies in university are prone to be extensive and detailed, requiring students to have to have access to a broad range of knowledge, which the average university student is unlikely to obtain in a short time. Therefore, the need to apply certain electronic devices such as laptops and cellphones to help them to cope with the issues at hand, is crucial for success. To illustrate, it is common that for a professor to put forward a totally alien concept for students to work through. In this case, not only could learners immediately discover the core premise of the conception, but could also raise any questions after the professor’s lecture, if any uncertainties remained. Thus, it is to the credit of those high-tech gadgets that they are better able to stimulate students’ comprehension of their classes.
