A group activity
I’d like to talk about basketball games.
We all know that to win a game, teamwork is necessary. Such an all-round superstar as Michel Jordan needs a trusted teammate like Pippen.(time to use your own example) Once I played a tough basketball game. In the 4th quarter, my team was 10 more scores behind our rival. In this situation, we had no choice but to trust the teammate who could shoot pretty well and seized every chance to pass him the ball. Amazingly, the guy made 4 three-pointers and we won the game. It may seem cliché to stress the importance of teamwork, but it really matters in a group activity like basketball game.
An occasion in which you have to be polite
I guess interviews quite demand politeness.
I can still recall my first interview because I really did lot of homework for that. People say that you must be very polite because first impression is vital. So before the interview I carefully washed my face, combed my hair, trimmed my nails and put on a suit to make myself seem formal. In addition, I was told that during the interview, I should behave myself. I paid much attention to my words, my facial expressions and the way I was sitting. Many people have a bad habit to shake their legs when they are seated. I reckon that’s impolite and will leave the interviewer a bad impression. So all in all, it was politeness that won me the job.
An unforgettable travel
In my freshman year, I travelled to Guilin with my girlfriend. Though travelling in a tour group sucks, the experience gave me long-lasting joy.
Guilin is a wonderful natural resort. In that place, the famous river “Lijiang” attracts millions of tourists every year. The water there was so clean and transparent that I could see the fish down at the bottom of the river. Plus the cool breeze and the fresh smell of the water and grass, the place became a paradise that could erase any bad moods. I sat in the boat and float on the river for one and a half hours. During the floating, I even read a love poem to my girl friend.
So if given the chance, I will definitely visit there again.
Favorite weather
I like rainy days best. Most people hate rainy weather because it brings inconvenience. However, I feel excited and refreshed every time it starts to rain. I guess this is because of a childhood memory. (Here comes personal experience) When I was a kid, my parents worked very hard and we didn’t have much time together. So I prayed that they wouldn’t do overtime on a daily basis. I remember clearly this night when it rained cats and dogs, I was worried that my parents won’t come back on time. Suddenly I heard a noise, and out of my expectation I found my parents were home. Just at that moment I felt the sound of the rain drops were so fair-sounding. I bet this must be the reason why I like it so much.
Ideal job
Well, I admit that I have a shred of alpha-male character deep inside, so I guess I desire a challenging job in the future. I’ve always had this dream to be an interpreter. Since I was a kid, English had been my favorite subject, and I devoted a lot to practice my oral English. Then one day, when I was watching TV, I saw an elegant women sitting beside President Jiang, the interpreter. Without her help, the president couldn’t communicate well with foreign guests. At that moment I felt this was a great job which I could act as an indispensable role. Surely being an interpreter is quite challenging, because it requires both excellent English and Chinese skills and acute mind. What’s more, personally I think speaking fluent English is kinda cool~
