近日，湖北襄阳警方前往广东惠州，抓获一名潜逃29年的命案逃犯熊某。此时，熊某已经从一个普通打工仔变成了千万身家的大老板。
　　抓捕现场，当着熊某年迈的母亲，民警谎称是防疫人员，将其悄悄带走，等进了电梯才亮明身份。据悉，1993年熊某及朋友与受害人王某发生口角，争执中失手将对方刺死，之后熊某改名换姓潜逃外地。看到这条新闻的我was like：别人当逃犯也能成为大富翁，我勤勤恳恳打工为啥还这么贫穷啊？我很不理解。
　　现在的我四大皆空：支付宝空、微信空、银行卡空、钱包空：别看我每天白天笑嘻嘻的，夜里其实盯着“余额：0.00”偷偷抹泪呢。我就是他们说的那种“隐形贫困人口”，这个词儿在英文中还有个专门的说法，大家知道是啥吗？

　　Invisible Poor

　　什么是隐形贫困人口呢？
　　The invisible poor are people who appear to live an affluent lifestyle, but are actually impecunious.
　　这些人看起来每天有吃有喝有玩，生活质量还挺高，但实际上非常贫穷。
　　affluent ['flunt]：富裕的
　　impecunious [,mp'kjuns]：没钱的；贫穷的（有时为幽默用法）
　　没错，是我。
　　看起来有吃有喝，实际上回家偷偷喝西北风顶饱，拿空气炸锅炸空气。
　　A typical month could mean they spend RMB30 for a cup of coffee, RMB300 at the trendiest restaurant, RMB500 for a plain white vintage T-shirt, as well as spending half of their monthly salary to rent near the CBD.

　　Paycheck to Paycheck

　　Paycheck 表示薪水支票。过着从一张薪水支票到下一张薪水支票的生活就说明你的生活没有什么结余，也就是我们所说的“月光族”。
　　举个例子：
　　A great number of people find themselves living paycheck to paycheck.
　　大多数人都感觉自己是“月光族”。
　　I'm living paycheck to paycheck, and sometimes I even can't make ends meet, and I really want to save money.
　　我是月光族，有时候甚至不能收支平衡，我真的很想存点钱。
　　存钱除了用“save money”，还可以用put aside/build up来表示。
　　举个例子：

　　They can build up savings to cover the cost of going to university.
　　他们可以累积存款以支付读大学的费用。
　　存钱也讲究积少成多，英语中有个专门用来表示“从小钱攒起”的表达：start off small。
　　举个例子：
　　Start off in small ways and it will get easier, and so will your life.
　　从小小的方式开始存钱，然后就会越来越容易，你的生活也是如此。

　　Undercover Millionaires

　　Undercover millionaires are rich people who profess to be poor in order to blend in with the common man.
　　这些人成功地混迹在贫困人口当中，有时候还跟着一起哭穷，对各种穷人的自嘲段子了如指掌。
　　undercover [ndkv(r)]：秘密工作的；暗中做的；私下进行的
　　profess [prfes]：妄称；伪称；声称；宣称；公开表明；信奉，信仰(某一宗教)
　　blend in：混入
