　　from the get-go

　　get-go是个名词，表示开始，开端。from the get-go表示“从一开始”的意思。

　　举个栗子：
　　I knew from the get-go that she wasn't right for the job.
　　从一开始，我就知道她不适合这份工作。

　　the outset

　　the outset=the beginning 开始，开端
　　一般的固定搭配是at/from the outset
　　举个栗子：
　　I told him at/from the outset I wasn't interested.
　　我从一开始就告诉他我没兴趣

　　from the word go

　　这个词组同样是“从一开始”的意思。

　　举个栗子：
　　The bridge-building project had problems with funding right from the word go.

　　advent表示the fact of an event happening, an invention being made, or a person arriving
　　（事件、发明或人物的）出现，来临，到来
　　一般的固定用法是the advent of something/somebody 某事的出现，发明或某人的到来

　　蒸汽机的出现使人类生活发生了翻天覆地的变化。

　　the dawn of+时期

　　dawn 本来的意思就是黎明，可以引申为开始，开始出现之意。
　　举个栗子：
　　These events marked the dawn of a new era in European history.
　　这些事件标志着欧洲历史上的一个新时代出现了。
