　　这里的renege on是个猜词题，关键在于对上一句的理解，上一句说，安特吉这家公司背信弃义
　　这句是说，这家公司承诺，将会长期遵守核（管理）规定的。
　　这个renege on是要说，这家公司和它的承诺之间的关系，上一句说，它背信弃义，这句开头就说，它激起了人们的愤怒，进一步说明，这家公司背信弃义，所以，这里的renege on就是 “不遵守、不履行” 的意思。

　　总结：第一段是说，Entergy（安特吉）这家公司背信弃义，不遵守核能法规了。而这个法规是它承诺要长期遵守的。
