俗话说“春困秋乏夏打盹，睡不醒的冬三月”，每个季节都是打盹睡觉的好时候啊！睡眠在人的一生中占据至少三分之一的时间，那“去睡觉”怎么说？很多第一反应可能是go to sleep，毕竟来是come去是go，睡觉是sleep，连起来不就 “go to sleep”。
    但是呢？
    真相往往与咱们想得不一样。
    go to sleep的意思实际是“入睡”，跟“fall asleep”一个意思。
    例：We go to sleep with a problem and wake up with the solution.
    我们带着问题入睡，带着解决方案醒来。
    那表示“上床睡觉”用什么呢？go to bed才表示去睡觉喔，表示上床但是还没睡着，可能你上床了，但是忍不住刷手机了，导致没有 “go to sleep”。
    例：I went to bed at ten, but I didn't go to sleep until midnight.
    十点我就上床了，可直到午夜才睡着。
    此外还可以用常用的俚语
    hit the hay [he?] 或 hit the sack [s?k] 来替代go to bed
    例：That is a good idea. I think I will hit the hay now.
    那是个好主意，我想我现在要睡觉了。
    还有一个关于”sleep”的短语，也特别容易让人误解。

    sleep late
    “sleep”是“睡觉”，“late“是“晚”， “sleep late“可不就是“睡得晚”，那不就是“熬夜”吗？
    但在这个短语中， “sleep”表示睡着的状态，“late” 表示超出预期时间，“sleep late”就是睡着的状态超出预期时间，也就是“醒得晚”“睡懒觉”。
    例：Tomorrow I will have an exam so that I am afraid that I might sleep late.
    明天我有一场考试，所以我担心我会睡到很晚。

    关于睡觉打盹的几个单词的区别
    ① sleep 是表示睡眠最常用的词：
    He slept well last night.
    ②doze 指打盹、假寐，常常不在床上：She dozed in front of the fire for a while.
    ③ nap 指在白天小睡、瞌睡，强调睡眠时间不长：I napped the afternoon away.
    ④ snooze 指短时间地打瞌睡，通常是在白天：My dad was snoozing on the sofa.
    ⑤ drowse 多表示处于半睡眠状态或昏昏欲睡：He drowsed in front of the television.
    ⑥ slumber 的意思相当于sleep，睡态多较安详，常具文学色彩：
    The children were still  slumbering peacefully.
